My experience with Gary Potts and his associate, Rachel Hobbs from Meadows Realty was an organized and planned way of helping us sell our house. Our house sold quickly after our first Open House. Inspection of our house and locating the right licensed person to make the repairs, were set up by Rachel. There were no worries and Gary stood by us to the end.

Gary also helped us find our new home, which once we found it, it seemed getting in to the house was easier. Being we wanted a VA loan, there were a few extra steps, but overall we got into the house sooner than we expected.

If I had to sum up 2 things that you’ve done well that are most important from a customer perspective, it would
be knowledge and results orientation on getting the job done, and being and advocate for our needs. I think
you’ve done both very well, and my limited experience is that something like 20% of the agents we met seemed
to satisfy #1, very few I think satisfy #2, that’s the opportunity you have for building a unique reputation. Not just
pushing to get the deal done, but willingness to take time and see tons of houses (as we did), point out the
negatives as well as the positives (as you did), and go the extra mile to get the house sold at the right price.

We sold our house at the same time as 2 other couples, and both of the others felt that their agent really wasn’t
100% on their side; they were more interested in getting the deal closed. Surprising how rare it is, I guess agents
just get desperate to get their money (which I understand), but it really leaves a bad taste, and I think most
people are very sensitive and aware of feeling like they’re being pushed vs. supported.

Thank you for your advice and tenacity over the last year and a half. We began looking for a home in June or July
of 2002. You showed us homes from Yamhill to Columbia County. During the home search you were always
knowledgeable and professional in assessing pros and cons. Julia and I never felt pressured and you were always
available to field questions and drive us to a new location.

Julia and I finally found the perfect spot, a plot of land and a home plan we both loved. The process of buying a
home not yet built was difficult. Without your constant phone calls we would have been at the mercy of our
home builder. Our home builder was consistently missing deadlines and attempted to keep us in the fog. You were
a thorn in their side calling them several times a week and always keeping us updated.

After our home was completed and we were able to finalize the sale you stayed active in our affairs. The
development’s owners attempted to back out of purchasing a homeowner’s warranty as agreed in our contract
offering us half the warranties cash value. Julia and I began to worry about our options. You hounded the
development owner and pushed them into compensating us with the full cash value of the warranty.

We have lived in our new home for one year now and are very happy. The home is beautiful. Thank you again for
all the guidance and hard work.
