Gary’s Crossroads Foundation

For 16 years now, I have provided 100’s of inner city at risk kids with the support and assistance to help better their lives. Some of these kids are now attending college with the positive support from Gary Potts Crossroads Foundation. The foundation was set up specifically to assist at risk kids, without this they would not have the support that they need at critical times of their lives. The kids we support are at risk inner city kids, foster kids, single parent kids and all are below poverty level. Each child’s situation is unique. Some are in need of clothing while others need educational assistance or help with athletic camps. Through motivation and financial assistance, we strive to provide the kids with opportunities and necessities. 2016 and 2017 have been our most successful years yet! I’ve raised over $100,000 for this great foundation. Results speak for itself-giving back to the community is one of my passions.
It brings a smile to the kids’ face and warmth to my heart knowing that 100% of the money received provides them with a certain amount of stability that they would otherwise go without. I have had the privilege of seeing many lives changed for the better.

Youth Sports Coaching

I share my passion and love for sports by volunteer coaching various youth teams. I coach girls basketball for the YMCA and Beaverton Metro. In 2015 I took the team to the State Championship but fell short in OT and took 2nd, in 2016 we came away victorious with a State championship team and in 2017 our team finished 3rd in State! Sports were a big part of my life growing up so I know the positive influence it can have on kids. It is so rewarding coaching kids, watching them grow & learn and seeing their confidence blossom.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

For the past 11 years, I have hosted a community and family Easter egg hunt. This has provided a lot of excitement and joy with the Easter Bunny making an appearance every year for photo opportunities with the kids. Each year I have 3500 eggs, prizes and candy so family fun is guaranteed.
